Let Us Do The Hard Work, No Thinking And No Stress. Relax In The Comfort Of Your Home For A Customized One-On-One Stretching Session.
What Is In-Home Stretching Services?
Assisted Stretching is pain-free and very relaxing. It's also much more convenient than other forms of bodywork (yoga, chiropractic, reflexology, Alexander technique, Feldenkrais method, etc.), resulting in greater benefits versus traditional bodywork, which is often painful and where the body can become guarded thus not achieving a proper range of your stretch.
I think the best part of assisted stretching is that clients are always fully-clothed and remain passive as the trainer performs the assisted stretches. There is no use of massage oils or creams. Our clients always feel comfortable during each session and our stretch trainers will leave you feeling totally refreshed and renewed.
Why Assisted In-Home Stretching Services Can Help You feel better?
Our In-Home Stretching Services can be used to, Prevent Injury, Enhance Performance, and Speed Recovery times from workouts. We sometimes overuse (too much stress) our bodies, and at times we don’t use (not enough stress) our bodies enough. This back and forth of physical and emotional stresses can take their toll on your body. By Incorporating assisted stretching into your weekly routine you can help prevent many of these problems listed above.
Let's take a closer look at Assisted Stretching and see why it's so Effective.
One of the main problems in society today is actually sitting. Although harmless for short periods it can cause major issues if sitting is prolonged... and what New Yorker does not spend all day sitting behind the computer. The body is made to move and when we don't you reduce the body's mobility, it decreases posture which both are extremely counterproductive when you need to move. Hence the reason why so many people have back and shoulder pain on a regular base. Stretching can help greatly reduce all these aches and pains in your body. We're basically reversing all the damage you are doing to your body while sitting.

increased flexibility
More flexibility means less stress on muscles during workouts and everyday activities. Increasing your range of motion not only helps your joints feel more fluid but also stimulates the production of your body’s natural lubricants.
By improving your flexibility it will rebalance your body even making you feel taller and stand straighter.
Speed Up Recovery
After a taxing training session, one of the best things you can do to speed up the recovery process is to increase circulation; bringing new blood with fresh oxygen and nutrients to the muscles. Plus, the delayed onset muscle soreness typically results in pain and stiffness and assisted stretching can certainly help to alleviate these symptoms!
Improved Posture
If you have a desk job or just find yourself sitting all day, assisted stretching is a great way to open up hips, lengthen hip flexors, and improve the mobility of the spine all leading up to an improvement in your posture and body alignment.
improved mobility
By improving your flexibility you will improve muscle coordination and synergy. This will create more structural stability throughout your body which will improve your performance in any sport as well as in everyday activities.
athletes / sports
Whether you’re a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, improving your flexibility and mobility enhances strength, speed, power, agility, and endurance, allowing you to perform at your best. Achieving optimum functional flexibility can lead to faster reaction times by reawakening instinctual movements, requiring less thought and enabling quicker responses.
injury prevention
Injuries, poor mobility, and general tightness around your body are usually caused by tight fascia: which is a cobweb-like tissue that surrounds all your muscles, bones, joints, and ligaments. Without probably stretching your fascia you could in fact form adhesions which can inhibit movement throughout your body and even scar tissue, which can lead to injury and chronic pain.

FAQ's About Assisted Stretching
What is Assisted Stretching?
Type A Training has "Stretching Coaches" that provides one-on-one, customized assisted stretching sessions. The stretches are 100% customize for your needs and your "Stretching Coach" will talk you through your stretches. Our "Stretching Coaches" employ a “push & release” type of stretching (technically “proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching”, or PNF) where you will be resisting a bit at times during the stretch and then releasing, resulting in a more effective stretch. Other stretching technique are used as well.
How Often Should I get stretched
Just like any activity, consistency is key. We recommend:
what sort of backgrounds do your "Stretching Coaches" have?
Our "Stretching Coaches" have a variety of backgrounds and are all certified and/or licensed in various bodyworking fields. We have massage therapists, yoga instructors, personal trainers, chiropractors, and more! They all have taken and studied stretching protocols that teaches them proper and safe stretching techniques for all body sizes and flexibility levels.
what if i have an injury is it safe to stretch?
We prefer to not stretch anyone who is suffering from any sort of acute injury. You should definitely see a doctor or physical therapist and get clearance from them PRIOR to signing up. We are NOT physical therapists. If, however, you suffer from chronic pain, discomfort or tightness, getting an assisted stretch is okay—as long as your doctor or physical therapist approves.
