What We Do:

Classes are led by our skilled instructors, who will take children aged between 5 and 7 years old on a delightful journey, introducing them to the practice of yoga in an exciting and interactive way through storytelling. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes and involves full-body movements and ends in guided meditation.

A Kids Online Yoga class Will Always consist of:

  • Opportunities for leadership, designated time for building community, and a chance to share with others.
  • Yoga postures for boosting energy, fostering compassion, building strength, improving concentration, and enhancing self-confidence.
  • Vocabulary with positive connotations, compliments, and words that convey kindness.
  • Breathing techniques that are easy to practice and can help in calming the nervous system, promoting self-control, and facilitating emotional awareness among children.
  • Techniques for relaxation and storytelling to soothe both the body and mind.

Our Method For Teaching online Kids Yoga classes.

In our classes, we guide kids through explorations of Yoga poses, meditation & breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices suitable for beginner and intermediate levels. No two classes are exactly the same, but every session includes these elements alongside supportive social-emotional learning experiences. The class experience also supports kids in developing skills related to focus, persistence, and resilience. 

Here are some of the foundational poses we do during each class. With research and studying what works with kids during a classes: Easy Pose (Sukhasana), Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana), Cat Pose (Marjariasana)m Cow Pose (Bitilasana), and Bow Pose (Dhanurasana).

30 minute Yoga classes follow this type of flow:

3-5 minute (starting)

We start with a 3-5 minute introduction and/or sharing/checking in. It's a good way to get the kids at ease and comfortable for the class

5-8 minutes

Next, we spend 5 minutes doing seated mindfulness/meditation exercises. These exercises are focused on breath work, positive affirmations, visualizations, sensory and/or emotional exploration.

15-20 minutes

After that, we move on to a 15-20 minute sequence of poses that includes a variety of seated, standing, and reclined postures. Instructors will provide verbal instruction and visual demonstrations, including alignment cues to help get the kids learning the correct form more effectively as well as safely. 

3-5 minutes (Ending)

We end the class with a 3-5 minute short guided meditation, followed by an opportunity to share questions and/or reflections on the class.
