My recommended products are selected with the following criteria:
- Versatility. How often is it used, can you use it for multiple exercises
- Size. Is it practical for in-home training or private gym use? Can it be stored easily at home
- Client reviews. Our clients like them, and the products below have 100's of positive 5 star reviews
Boxing Gloves
The Elite Pro Style Training Glove features a revolutionary one-piece design that optimizes fist placement which promotes a natural range of motion. This design can reduce injury. This part is key... it has "Evercool" mesh palm that increases ventilation keeping your hands cooler and prevents sweating.
MMA Gloves
Okay, so these are great because they are extremely versatile. While with regular gloves you are limited to boxing. With these gloves since you have the fingers exposed you'll be able to jump rope and other fun exercises that trainers love to give clients such as burpees or push-ups. The bottomline is that since you don't need to remove the gloves equals less time removing and more time working out.
Foam Roller
Basics High-Density Round Foam Roller for Exercise, Massage, Muscle Recovery - 12", 18", 24", 36" Ideal for balance, strengthening, flexibility, and rehab exercises. This has over 50,000 5 star reviews and it's made by Amazon! I promise you don't need anything fancy this roller under $15 will do the job.

Resistance Band
Designed for light and speedy mobility, the exercise band can be rolled up to stash in a gym bag, or closet. It has 5 resistance levels. These are extremely strong. I personally use the RED bands. Take into account that I am 6' 3" and 220 lbs and some days it's kind of a challenge so... take that into consideration when choosing your band size.
Dumbbells
Durable cast-iron hand-weight dumbbells are ideal for light weightlifting and muscle toning. I like these because they are Neoprene which provides a comfortable non-slip grip. More importantly they will prevent damage to any expensive hardwood floors and protects weights from cracking and chipping which happens often with the all-metal or steel dumbbells.
Sandbag
Develop total body strength, stability, and endurance by training with the Super Sandbag. This versatile training tool allows you to execute countless training exercises, working your upper and lower body. The removable weight bags can be used as soft weights to increase the intensity of any drill or exercise.
Gymnastic Rings
I actually love using these personally. It is a good alternative when I don't have time to set up a full upper body workout. I just strap these up on a bar and can get a workout. Also, these are slightly better for your shoulder and neck structure. Nothing is fixed and you are moving in a more natural range of motion. So it helps prevent injuries and helps you build strength in a safer way.
Some expensive Stuff
PowerBlock Dumbbells
These are the top of the line. They've been around for a while and people love the fact that you can replace having 16 pairs of dumbbells with a set of these adjustable dumbbells so right there is a game changer. For anyone limited in space this is the go to dumbbell. The great thing about these are if you want or need to have more weight they do expand from the standard 50 lbs to a 70 and 90 lbs dumbbell. With the standard size which is 50lbs they do go into increments of 5 lbs so these weights would be a great choice for people sharing with multiple people or family members who may be working with you.
Wavemaster Punching Bag
If you can’t hang a heavy bag from your ceiling, the free-standing Wavemaster punching bag is exactly what you need for boxing, martial arts, or MMA training. It fits everyone with its 7 height adjustments, from 47” - 69”. It fills with water or sand which keeps the unit steady (250 lbs when filled). However, with the large round base, it does allow you to easily roll the unit for easy relocation if needed. Comes in black, blue or red.
